Punjab Police issued a
recruitment notification for the recruitment of 7416 Constable Posts for male
and female candidates in District Police Cadre and Armed Police Cadre on direct
recruitment basis. Eligible candidates who fulfill all eligibility criteria can
apply online from 31.05.2016 from 09:00 a.m. to 21.06.2016 by 11:59 p.m. Full

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess minimum 10+2 or its
equivalent from a recognized Education Board/ University and must have passed
Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective
subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.
Age Limit:
Candidates age limit should be between 18 – 28 years as on 01.01.2016.
Relaxation of age will be applicable up to 05 years for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates
and 03 years for Ex Serviceman candidates.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Physical Measurement Test (PMT),
Physical Screening Test (PST), personality test & interview.
Application Fee:
Candidates should pay Rs. 400/- for General Category candidates and Rs. 100/-
for SC/ ST/ BC candidates through online & off Line mode. Application fee
will be exempted to Ex Serviceman candidates.
Online Mode: Candidates should pay the fee through online by using
Net Banking/ Credit/Debit card.
Offline Mode: Candidates have to deposited the money through challan
in HDFC Bank counter or Police SAANJH Kendras.

- Now take a print out of online application for future use.
